Keynote Firestarter – Resist Inertia, Become the Mass in Motion, Momentum Unleashed
One editorial director. Two trailblazers. An hour of inspiration. Our firestarter conversation will strike the match and open the summit with the incredible journey of two women of color that made huge leaps in their careers in the middle of the pandemic. In the spring of 2021, Joanne Li was named to Chancellor at the University of Nebraska Omaha while Wanda Costen was named Dean at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada. Dr. Li started out as an international student to the US and Dr. Costen represents one of only a few black female business school deans. They both have overcome significant barriers to achieve impressive career goals. This session will share their incredible journey to leadership, and inspire us all to keep on moving. No matter what. Wanda Costen, Dean, School of Business at MacEwan University. Incoming Dean, Smith School of Business, Queen’s University (July 2021) Joanne Li, Chancellor-Elect at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Moderated by: Lucy Swedberg, Editorial Director, Harvard Business Publishing
