Day 1: Leading Fearlessly with Your Authentic Voice 

March 15  9-10am (ET) / 2-3pm (CET)

Join us on Day 1 to discuss importance of your unique voice and being true to yourself in your leadership style (as well as the challenges and benefits of doing so). The panelists will share their personal experiences, lessons learned, and strategies for navigating difficult situations while staying true to their authentic selves. The event is designed to encourage attendees to reflect on their own leadership style and authenticity in their respective fields.

Day 2: Advancing in the New Global Workspace

March 16 9-10am (ET) / 2-3pm (CET)

How do we stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving workplace where technology and remote work have transformed the way we collaborate? During Day 2 of the IWD Symposium our forward-thinking panel discussion will explore the changing nature of work in a global context. The discussion will focus on the skills and strategies needed to succeed in this new environment, including digital literacy, cross-cultural communication, and adaptability.

Considered one of the foremost references in Employability and the Future of Work on a global scale, Dr. Amber Wigmore Álvarez is Chief Talent Officer of Highered, the strategic careers partner of EFMD, with nearly 800 business schools and universities in 92 countries. She is a thought leader on the talent perspective who is driving the creation of an insights and research area with the understanding that Highered has the potential to be a leading talent market research generator on a global scale. Furthermore, she leads Highered’s global partnership with Coursera, which is the largest employability upskilling initiative ever seen. Dr. Wigmore Alvarez has extensive experience in the world of global career services, including at top-ranked IE Business School and IE University in Spain, where she was Executive Director of Talent & Careers, managing a team of more than 37 talent professionals who delivered services to 6,000 students, 65,000 alumni and 4,000 corporate partners. She continues as Associate Professor at IE Business School and IE University, where she received the “Award for Teaching Excellence” for the 2018-2019 academic year. Dr. Wigmore Alvarez regularly teaches masterclasses in the areas of Career Strategy, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Communication and Networking for more than 15 leading business schools around the world. In addition, Dr. Wigmore Alvarez moderates panels in more than 30 countries and has been quoted in numerous publications, including the Financial Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, CNN, Expansión, El País, El Economista, Forbes and Elle. Dr. Wigmore Alvarez is Executive Fellow of Woxsen University (India) and member of the EFMD Annual Conference Steering Committee. She is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of EAE Business School (Spain) and was on the MBA CSEA Standards Committee, in the MBACSWP alliance and the GNAM Careers group. In 2013 Dr. Wigmore Alvarez created the EFMD Career Services Steering Committee, and until her appointment as CIO, was on the Highered Advisory Board. As Co-Founder of Wigmore & Álvarez, Dr. Wigmore Alvarez conducts courses on Intercultural Management and Doing Business in Spain. As a Doctor of Economics and Business Science, Dr. Wigmore Alvarez’s research is focused on Organizational Behavior in Leadership, University Social Responsibility (USR) and business ethics. She holds an International MBA from IE Business School (Spain) and a BA in Hispanic Studies and International Economics from Wheaton College (Massachusetts, USA).
