The University of Scranton (, a Catholic and Jesuit University offering a transformational learning experience, seeks a Dean of the Kania School of Management (KSOM). Reporting to the Provost/Academic Vice President, the Dean of KSOM is the principal administrator of the School of Management and is responsible for the operation of the School. The Dean will be a student-centered collaborative leader responsible for building enrollment and partnerships and interacting with faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and donors to benefit the School. The Dean may, at the time of hiring, be awarded faculty rank and tenure in accordance with the faculty handbook. Visit for a detailed description.


a Doctorate degree in a business field
an established record of building a culture of student engagement and success
eligible for rank of Associate or Full Professor in one of the departments of the KSOM
experience in an academic leadership role
business accreditation (AACSB preferred) or compliance background
experience in leading curricular innovation to anticipate and meet evolving expectations and opportunities for undergraduate and graduate programs
working with a unionized faculty is a plus
business or corporate experience
a commitment to the strong mission of the University
